Valentines day is fast approaching, so if you’re wanting to prepare a special meal for your loved one please make sure you order in advance, so we can get your order ready for you.
Come in and see us or phone us and we will be more than happy to give you some recipe suggestions and guidance if you wish.
Shellfish is in mid season perfection at the moment. Our oysters are plump and with a clean sweet fresh taste of the sea.
Lobsters are full and very simple to serve.
Clams and mussels are also at their best.
Our glorious smoked salmon is as silky smooth as always.
For a real treat we are happy to provide all the ingredients for a show stopping fruits de mere. We can provide ice, seaweed and whatever seafood you would like.

If caviar is on the menu please let us know and we are happy to advise.

We are very happy to have David Blagden join our Chelsea team. David comes with a wealth of experience and some wicked recipes up his sleeve.

Bass are a bit thin on the ground for the next few weeks. At this time of year they head out to deeper water to spawn. This means the small boats that fish for them by rod and line can’t get out to them. It’s also the done thing to leave them alone to let them breed.
You will see wild bass on some fish counters but my guess is they will have been pair trawled. This is when two boats drag a net between them up to a mile apart. In my opinion, not a very ethical method of fishing.
There are plenty of alternatives to bass gracing our counters to tempt you. We are getting some sensational Cornish turbot, wonderful Scottish halibut and the hake and cod coming up from the west country is some of the best I’ve ever seen.
